I am a huge Johnny Depp & Tim Burton fan, so couldn't wait for the release of Alice in Wonderland.
I did this edit of one of my Flickr friends today......I hope he is still talking to me after what I have done to him! :)

Some of my favourite textures....
These are some of my favourite textures.
You can find them in my texture set here
This one was a total fluke, a more natural texture of mine.....a snapshot while I was going through the drive through car wash. I have been back many times since this one & haven't been able to get anything like this again. This is straight out of my camera.
This one is a texture I have created, using many layers including some paper textures
This one is a more natural texture as well, some rust taken on an old fort at Shepherds Hill Fort, Newcastle (NSW, Australia)& a few colour & curve adjustments
I love the colour turquoise & all shades...aqua, jade. This one is created from a base paper texture. I had just watched Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End, hence the name. I often get names for my textures from movies.

This is an edit I did for our Textures Only Competition ~ Week #85.
I have had a Medusa edit in my head for a while, I spent about 2 hours one day searching through creative commons images of snakes to find ones that I thought would fit into the edit.
When I saw the source image of the lady for our comp this week, I thought it would be a good image to try my ideas on. It turned out differently than I imagined, but often the finished result of an image is much different than your initial vision.

This is one of the images from my Alice In Wonderland set. I went to see the movie with my Grandson yesterday. I have been eagerly awaiting it's release for what seems like forever.
I must admit I had very, very high expectations & not sure if it quite lived up to what I had imagined......but still, in saying that I loved it & would see it again in a heartbeat.

This is an edit I did today for Weekly Photoshop Competition. A wonderful group & one of the first I joined when I started on Flickr. The group is a great friendly group & have always given me friendly feedback & support from day one. The group run weekly challenges, members are given a source image & asked to edit it.

This is a recent edit for Down Under Challenge group.
It's a great friendly group where members are asked to edit a source image. If you aren't a member, drop on it, it's lots of fun.
